Porto Rotondo Guide & Reviews Holiday Villa Rentals, Apartments, Holiday Homes to Rent - Costa Smeralda
Porto Rotondo on the Costa Smeralda in north east Sardinia is one of the most popular resorts on the island and home to around 800 residents.
Sitting between the gulfs of Cugnana and Marinella next to Mount Ladu, Porto Rotondo is fortunate to be on the doorstep of one of the best marine reserves in Europe, the Tavolara - Punta Coda Cavallo.
The reserve includes the 7 tiny islands of the Maddalena archipelago and takes just 15 minutes by ferry from Palau. Here, you can explore the islands, go diving or simply chill out and relax.
At either side of the marina, Porto Rotondo boasts some beautiful beaches such as Sassi, Alghe, Punta Asfodelo and Marinella that offer a full menu of watersports. And, away from the beaches, San Marco square is the hub of the town where you will find many fashionable boutiques, trendy bars and quality restaurants.
