Kihei Nightlife
The nightlife in Kihei is relaxed and tranquil but a night out in the town can be lively and entertaining. Nightlife here includes karaoke spots, dance clubs and sports bars ensuring your Kihei nights are just as entertaining as the day.
As with the rest of Maui, the nightlife in Kihei tends to finish relatively early - people don't come to Maui for late partying - its more about the feeling of being on one of the most beautiful islands in the Pacific. As the sun sets, the best place to experience authentic Maui nightlife in Kihei is to make camp at one of the hotel beach bars and restaurants, listen to live music, watch the shows and dine under the stars.
Kihei Beaches
Sitting on the sunny western coast, Kihei boasts 6 miles of glorious sandy beaches along the Maalaea Bay offering fantastic views of Kahoolawe, Molokini and Lanai island.
Cove Park is the closest beach and is perfect for learning to surf, swimming and snorkeling but the best beach in the area is Keawakapu Beach just 6 miles south of of Kihei. Long stretches of golden sand await you and if you are a renting a villa or house on the beach, its a lovely spot for watching the sunsets from your balcony.
Kalama beach Park towards the southern end of Kihei is another popular spot although the popularity is more to do with the large grassy area and recreational activities on offer such as volleyball and BBQ picnic areas rather than the sandy beach - there isn't much sand!
