During the hot summer months where temperaturs can reach up to 35 degrees, there are 7km of white sandy beaches flanked by the turquoise warm waters of the Mediterranean. Plus, there are countless coves to to discover where you can go snorkeling or try out some watersports.

During the evenings, both the town and beachfront around the marina are lively with ample cafes, restaurants and bars to choose from catering for all budgets and tastes - seafood dishes are a speciality. Things to see and do

Fréjus and the surrounding area is full of interesting villages, historic cities, beautiful public gardens and countryside to explore. Here are a few suggestions....

  • Wander around the Villepey Lakes - the largest lagoons between Camargue and Italy
  • Day trip to Monte Carlo taking in Casino Square and the famous harbour
  • 15km inland is the tiny hillside village of Adrets-l'Estérel with narrow cobbled streets, street markets and Lake St. Cassian where you can do watersports
  • Nice is a good option and if you like seafood, there are some fantastic restaurants in the old town
