The Exumas are a collection of 365 tiny islands or cays that stretch 120 miles from Great Exuma in the south towards New Providence and Nassau in the north.

Known for the beauty of it's cays, The Exumas are widely regarded as the jewels of the outer islands and range from tiny uninhabited islands to the tourist hubs of Great Exuma and Little Exuma.

A Year Round Holiday Destination

The Exumas, like the rest of the Bahamas has a tropical savannah climate with two seasons. Summer runs from May until October where temperatures can often reach 33°C and above. During the summer, humidity is high so its imprtant that your vacation rental has air conditioning. This time of year means the sea is warm - ideal for swimming and snorkeling but you should expect short bursts of heavy rain followed by clear skies.

November to May is the winter season with cooler temperatures, little rain and on occasion, strong winds with a chance of a hurricane between September and November.

Three Sisters Beach

Named after the mystical rock formations off the shore, Three Sisters Beach on Great Exuma is a popular place to relax and enjoy some swimming or snorkeling in the warm shallow waters. Its also a place where many couples exchange wedding vows in the belief that the Three Sisters Rocks will bring them luck.

Chat 'n' Chill Beach

The lovely Chat and Chill beach is nestled in a cove on Stocking Island and is reached by a water taxi from the harbour in George Town. Its a firm favourite with locals and tourists and not just because of the lovely beach, the Chat 'n' Chill beach bar and restaurant is a big draw - the pig roast on sundays is not to be missed!

Tropic of Cancer Beach

Also known as Pelican Beach, this stunning crescent of silky white-powder sand stretches along the coast of Little Exuma and is the longest and prettiest beach on the island. Located at 23 26N 75 35W, the beach is named after the meridian line that defines the northern extent of the tropics and crosses right through it.
